Foundation Planting Beds, Smart Curb and Landscape Lighting in Lakeville

We were back out at Brasion Farm in Lakeville working on a front yard that already had great bones - a stunning dark-exterior home with stone accents and real presence on the street. The goal was to match that level of detail in the landscaping. No half-measures.

We built out clean foundation planting beds along the front of the home and installed Smart Curb edging to give everything a sharp, defined border. Smart Curb is one of those details that separates a finished landscape from one that just looks like plants were dropped in the ground. It holds the bed lines tight, keeps rock and mulch where they belong, and gives the whole front yard a structured, intentional look that holds up over time.

Plant selection was chosen to complement the home's dark exterior - hydrangeas, ornamental shrubs, and a mix of textures that fill in nicely without overwhelming the facade. We laid the whole bed in river rock, which ties into the side yard planting beds and keeps the overall look cohesive from every angle.

The low-voltage landscape lighting is what really rounds it out. We positioned fixtures directly among the plants so the beds get highlighted from within - not just washed with light from a distance. During the day it looks clean and polished. At night, this home is going to stand out on the street in the best way possible. That day-to-night curb appeal is something a lot of homeowners don't think about until they see it done right.
