We're out in Richfield, Minnesota working on a backyard that already had solid bones - established garden beds, mature hydrangeas, hostas, good shade. What it was missing was a real path. Something that actually connected the space and gave it purpose.

Here's what we were working with: a backyard where getting from point A to point B meant walking through grass or stepping around plants. The homeowner wanted function, but they also wanted the path to feel like it belonged - not just a straight shot of concrete dropped in and called a day.

So we designed a curving interlocking concrete paver walkway that follows the natural flow of the yard. The curve isn't just for looks either. It wraps around the garden beds cleanly, keeps the existing plantings intact, and makes the whole space feel intentional. That's the thing about a well-laid paver path - it pulls a yard together in a way that's hard to explain until you see it done right.

The pavers themselves are laid in a staggered brick pattern with tight, consistent joints throughout. Getting the arc right on curved sections like this takes time. Each paver has to be cut and set so the lines stay clean as the path bends. Cut corners here and you end up with gaps, uneven edges, and a path that looks sloppy in a year. We don't do that.

A walkway like this does more than just look good. It protects your garden beds from foot traffic, keeps mud off your lawn edges, and gives your outdoor space a finished, connected feel. For a yard that already has great plantings and character, a paver path is one of the best things you can add.
