Paver Patio Build With the Whole Crew for Avlaki Drainage Solutions

Some weekends just hit different. We teamed up with our friends and neighbors at Avlaki Drainage Solutions to put together a brand new paver patio - and we brought the whole crew. Adults, kids, everyone got in on it. That kind of community build energy is hard to fake, and you can feel it in how the finished product came out.

The patio itself is a large-format dark slate paver field with a contrasting border running the full perimeter. That border detail is not just for looks - it locks the layout in, gives the eye a clean edge to follow, and adds a level of polish that separates a DIY attempt from a professionally built surface. Getting that border perfectly level and aligned is where most installs go wrong. We don't skip that step.

From the aerial view during the build, you can see just how much surface area we were covering. Multiple crew members working in zones, pavers staged and ready, laser level set up and running. That kind of organized process is what keeps a large patio build moving efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Every row has to be right before the next one goes down.

The kids jumping in to set border pavers was genuinely one of the better moments of the day. They were hammering, stacking, and lining up blocks with more focus than some adults we've worked with. Good people raising good kids - and those kids now know what it takes to build something that lasts. That's worth something.
